First Blood Donation Activity held at PCPC Power Plant

Out of the 56 plant personnel volunteers who were tested, 33 became successful blood donors during the first-ever Blood Donation activity initiated by the company on May 30, 2022, at the PCPC Power Plant Complex. This is in line with the company’s Social Development Program (SDP), PCPC CARES for Health.

Philippine Red Cross – Iloilo Chapter facilitated the said activity while PCPC’s student scholars volunteered in assisting the donors.

“We are proud of the outcome of this activity. It sparked volunteerism and the willingness of our people at the power plant to help and save lives with their blood,” Cleope Lena, PCPC External Affairs Specialist, and lead of the project said. Due to its success, PCPC intends to make this “lifesaving” activity a regular part of their program for health.
