PCPC Enables Quick Response Group

A 2-day training course, carried out by PCPC’s partners from the Philippine Red Cross Iloilo Chapter, followed the series of trainings under the Disaster Emergency Response Program (DERP) of PCPC, wherein volunteers from the host community were organized to form a response group.

The Occupational First Aid Training (OFAT), which was held on October 13-14, 2018, served as the basis to form the new Quick Response Team (QRT) whose members are all volunteer residents from Barangay Nipa.

“We intend to further strengthen the Quick Response Team to function not only during times of emergency, but also to be a core group actively participating in various projects and events of the community,” Dan G. Baliao, Community Relations Assistant said.
