PCPC for Earth Day: Volunteers join trash walk

Proving that no pandemic can stop people for caring for Mother Earth, volunteers from Palm Concepcion Power Corporation (PCPC) initiated a Trash Walk Activity in celebration of the Earth Day.

A total of 85.5 kilogram of garbage was collected in the combined road and coastal clean-up.

The clean up is in support of the Municipality of Concepcion’s Trash Walk Movement which aims for Concepcion to become the cleanest town in the Iloilo Province.

“The activity is not just held for Earth Day, but also because we have a responsibility in the community and the environment,” Jazzy Jude Mateus-Araza, PCPC Community Relations Coordinator said.

According to Araza, PCPC will hold more of these trash walks which is also part of a flagship program of the company under its Project Baybay, its road and coastal cleanup initiative.
