Province of Iloilo hails PCPC as top taxpayer

Palm Concepcion Power Corp. (PCPC) emerged as one of the Province of Iloilo’s top taxpayer for 2018.

According to a data from the Provincial Treasurer’s Office, PCPC paid a total of P8.03million in 2018, ranking 1st as the highest payor of real property taxes in Iloilo.

Meanwhile, PCPC was recognized as well as the 3rd highest business taxpayer for 2018 with P8.7million taxes paid.

Former Governor Arthur Defensor Sr. thanked the private sectors and the performing LGUs and municipalities who were behind the high tax collection efficiency rate of Iloilo in 2018 which resulted to P229million increase in real property tax collection.

The awarding ceremony was held on June 19, 2019 at the Provincial Capitol of Iloilo.

Iloilo registered a high tax efficiency rate of 107.23% in 2018 by collecting a total of P786.23million compared to the P733.24-million target set by the Bureau of Local Government Finance of the Department of Finance.
