PCPC recognizes the importance of mangroves in the coastal ecosystem of Concepcion not only as habitat and food source of marine organisms but also as protection against tidal action and storm surges.
The Mangrove Enhancement module of Green PARC presently covers 12 hectares at 4 coastal planting sites in the municipality with target to expand to 28 hectares pursuant to the Mangrove Development Plan of the province.
