The flagship Green PARC project is the upland reforestation on Mt. Apitong on the foot of which stands the PCPC power plant. A total of 78,208 trees have been planted/adopted on the mountain in coordination with the DENR Region 6. From the original 5-ha upland reforestation area required in the DENR Environmental Compliance Certificate (ECC), PCPC has been expanding this to its present 102 hectares.
