PROJECT BAYBAY – COASTAL AND ROAD CLEAN UP

Indiscriminate disposal of wastes whether to the sea, shoreline, roads or waterways was also a problem in Concepcion. Hence, in 2017, PCPC entered into a MOA with DENR Region 6 for the Adopt-An-Estero Program where the LGU and PCPC become responsible for the clean-up and upkeep of 2 waterways adjacent to the plant complex—Lilintian and Aslum Creeks.  This was then married to the coastal clean-up being done to form what is now Project Baybay covering both the creeks and the shoreline as well as the roadsides along the power plant complex. For 2023, 618 kilos of garbages were collected during the orchestrated cleanups.
